As the holiday season begins, not everyone is excited and filled with gratitude. For certain people, it’s hard for them to find a reason to be grateful or happy this season. For all they had been through and their continuous burden, they actually had to force themselves to even enjoy their Thanksgiving Dinner. There was one man in the Bible that went beyond his circumstances to find meaning and purpose in spite of everything. When God told Paul he wasn’t going to answer his prayer and he’s been given enough grace to live with it, Paul’s response was priceless: “Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” 2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV). Paul decided to brag more about his God in his weaknesses. Glorifying God in his circumstances made him more effective in his ministry. Be thankful and let people know how God has sustained you and provided for you in the midst of your situation. Brag about God today.
