In this era, being able to identify who you are is very important. In most applications, there is a section that requires us to disclose our identity. Many of us sometimes struggle to find the right box to check. Many of the boxes don’t tell our story or really describe who we are. We may have trouble defining our race, culture, or other status. However, those who are in Christ should be able to identify themselves without hesitation. Paul in his trip to Rome, facing a storm, identified himself to the people who were transporting him. He said in Acts 27:23 “Last night an angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I serve stood beside me and said, ‘Do not be afraid, Paul”. Do you know who you belong to? You belong to an Almighty God who is faithful, loving, forgiven and gracious. Next time you are having trouble with your identity, read this verse. Have a blessed day.
