Some sources in the internet suggest that the average person makes about 35,000 choices per day. If you take away 7 hours of sleep per day, it shows we make roughly 2,000 decisions per hour. Whether 35,000 is a real number or not, from the time we wake up and to the minute that we fall asleep, we have tons of choices. For example, should I wake up now, shower, exercise, eat cereal or make eggs and the list can go on. All these decisions have to be made and you’re not even out of bed yet. My point today is decisions come with consequences as well as opportunities. Each choice can open doors to a new world, new adventure and new learning. Paul in Colossians 4:5 tells us “Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity”. Every time we start a new day, doors are opportunities await us. We have choices to make: walk in the door or waste our time. What do you plan to do with all these ample times you have at home right now? Think about it.
